Outerboro, Inner Pride; Players Represent Their Boroughs at the Cost of Living Classic!
On Sunday, October 19th, several Outerboro Soccer players from different league teams proudly represented their boroughs in the Cost of Living Classic, a citywide 5-a-side soccer tournament hosted by Zohran Mamdani and NYC Footy.
The event brought together players from all five boroughs to celebrate community, teamwork, and the love of the game. It was amazing to see Outerboro athletes showing up not only to compete but to represent the spirit of our league — inclusive, passionate, and city-wide.
Big shoutout to everyone who played, supported, and showed love for their boroughs! ⚽💪
We’re proud to see our community shine beyond our own fields.
The Cost of Living Classic wasn’t only about the matches — it was about bringing New Yorkers together through sport, showing how soccer connects communities from all corners of the city.
From early morning kickoffs to the final whistle, the energy was pure NYC: competitive, diverse, and full of heart.
Hosted at Maimonides Park in Coney Island, the event featured music, local food, and plenty of borough pride. Players and fans alike came out to cheer, laugh, and share a love for the beautiful game.
